We were barely in our room when the front-desk called to made sure everything was okay (and we were just typical guests, certainly not high-rollers). The maintenance and housekeeping staff obviously have great pride in this property and take every step to ensure an enjoyable experience. The rooms are exactly as shown: nice, above average furniture, comfortable beds, quality linens and complimentary toiletries, and the room was absolutely spotless. And check out the live alligators in the lobby. All of the food we tried over the three days we were there was really good for a reasonable price and was available 24/7.
The wide range of casino games including slots, blackjack, poker, and craps are offered at a reasonable buy-in, i.e., penny slots and $1 black-jack tables. There is world-class entertainment, an indoor pool with a swim-up bar, and several in-house restaurants (a couple have live entertainment in the evening) and a phenomenal buffet (and I'm not usually a fan of buffets), a movie theater offering first-run movies, and shops that range from reasonable to expensive.
This is a gorgeous, beautifully decorated, huge property, with everyone on their staff so welcoming and friendly. This is a hidden gem nestled in Louisiana that has all of the amenities you would want to find in a resort/casino.
